One-Year Anniversary

Hello March! This year is my one-year anniversary at Foreclosure.com (Active Data Technologies). During this time, I have found an industry that I love so much. The big question is what have I learned here in one-year?

Marketing Knowledge. I have learned about search engine optimization, how an Internet business works, and other digital marketing skills. I could not explain how happy I am to have found an industry that I never get tired of reading about. This industry is always changing and in order to stay ahead of the game, you need to know what is happening out there. One year later, and I am still reading each news article with interest.

Web Design. I gained experience in building websites. I still have a lot to learn in this aspect, but I caught on very quick. In order for me to learn more about web design, I need to purchase more websites. I plan on buying more domains and challenging myself.

Old Company. I spent five and a half years at a company, where the business began to dwindle (and fast). The stress level and morale of the company was always on edge. I really hope that the old company does pick up more business, and become steady again. I miss my old coworkers dearly.

I left the old company because I was getting ready to graduate college. It was time for me to pursue my career in marketing. The old company did not have a position available for me to fulfill my dreams. The change was one of the best decisions that I ever made.

New Company. Wow! That is all I can say. I have never been at a company, where everyone is always so happy. This company is always looking for a reason to celebrate. Each month seems like a new cake and gathering talking about how amazing business is here.

I could not be more appreciative to have an opportunity to be on a team like this. This company truly gives back to its employees, and shows the gratitude of all our hardwork. Today happens to be employee appreciation day. They are preparing a big lunch for all the employees. How many people can say their companies are doing that today? I am truly happy.

In conclusion, I could continue writing about how amazing the last year has been, but that would too much for one post. However, I will say that I am happy to have found an industry that I belong. I enjoy reading about the trends of the market, and comparing it how it will affect my work. One year later, I still have the same excitement since day one. #Winning
